Before you fly
Permits, packing, lungs, rivers.
We handle ACAP and TIMS on the ground. You bring honest fitness, layers, and a passport that still has months on it.
ACAP and TIMS
Annapurna treks need an ACAP permit and usually a TIMS card. We organise them in Pokhara with your passport details. Costs sit in the quote, not as a surprise at the trailhead. Rafting does not use ACAP; river trips follow separate safety paperwork.
What to pack
Broken-in boots, a down layer, rain shell, sun hat, and a refillable bottle. Tea-houses sell snacks; they do not sell a spare knee. We send a season-specific list after you request dates. For rafting: swimwear, a dry change, and shoes that can get wet. We supply helmet, PFD, and paddle.
Fitness we actually mean
Poon Hill is a steep holiday. ABC is a week of stairs. The Circuit asks for consecutive days and a high pass. Train on hills with a pack. We pace conservatively and will not push a sick guest over Thorong. Tell us about knees, asthma, and recent altitude before we lock a plan.
Rafting safety and age
Kaligandaki days are Grade III–IV and suit confident swimmers from the minimum age on the trip page. Everyone wears a helmet and PFD. We will refuse a run if the river is in flood. If you cannot swim, say so — we decide on the bank, not on a form.
Ready when you are
Send dates. We reply with permits, pacing, and whether a Kaligandaki day fits after the trek.
