Who this is for
Sunrise over Dhaulagiri, rhododendron forest, and a steep holiday of stairs. Typically four to five days.
Poon Hill is the rest-week trek from Pokhara: steep, short, and honest about stairs. You walk through rhododendron to Ghorepani, climb Poon Hill (3,210 m) before dawn, and come down through Ghandruk. Typical length is four to five days; we hold five so the sunrise morning is not stacked on a long jeep day.

Difficulty and altitude
Ghorepani Poon Hill is a Moderate walk of 4 days, with a high point around 3210 m. We pace for acclimatisation, not a brochure summit morning.
Best time to go
Typical season: October–May. October–November and March–April are the classic Himalayan windows. We close or reroute when cloud and rain make the view a fiction.
Permits and what is included
Annapurna routes include ACAP and usually TIMS, processed in Pokhara. Restricted valleys (Mustang, Manaslu, Tsum, Nar Phu) add a RAP filed through immigration. The quote lists permit days; there is no surprise at the checkpoint.
